Chemical Grinder WMC

Chemical Grinder WMC

The chemical grinder WMC provides crushing with a narrow particle size distribution, without dust. The narrow particle size spectrum is achieved by means of a continuous compressive shear action between two corrugated rollers with a defined roller gap.

WMC grinders crush soft, brittle as well as tough products, such as:

  • Super absorber
  • Urea
  • Polyacrylate
  • Calcium sulphate
  • Pectin
  • Ammonium bicarbonate
  • Polymer
  • Potash
  • Phenoplast
  • Ammonium nitrate
  • Broken tablets
  • Electronic industry waste

Product supply/proportioning

  • Uniform feeding across the entire roller length is ensured by a roller proportioning device or, alternatively, by an oscillating conveyor duct.
  • Continuously adjustable capacity
  • Inspection window for control of the product flow
  • Dust-tight execution

Grinder sections

  • Main drive via V-belts and spur gear
  • Roller drive via synchronous cardan shafts
  • Product-specific corrugation of the rollers
  • Servomotors for roller gap adjustment
  • Disengagement of the rollers in case of foreign particle passage and readjustment of the required roller gap
  • Quick-disengagement mechanism of the rollers
  • Exchangeable drive units. Drive power up to 30 kW per section, depending on the requirements
  • Smooth inner surfaces
  • Dust-tight execution

Execution and options

  • Roller grinder WMC
  • All product-contacting parts are made of stainless steel, material no. 1.4571
  • Electric switch cabinet with visualization
  • Explosion-protected design
  • High-alloy rollers (Cr)
  • Cooling rollers
  • Equipotential bonding against static charging
  • Contactless roll seal
  • Aspiration connection
  • Connection for inert gas supply
  • Permanent magnet above the rolls
  • Gas-tight design

Capacity ranges

5 different roller lengths: 700 - 1000 - 1400 - 1500 - 1700 mm
Roller diameter: 250 mm

Due to the modular design the following combinations are possible:

Roller grinder, type WMC 1 – one grinding section
Roller grinder, type WMC 2 – two grinding sections
Roller grinder, type WMC 3 – three grinding sections
Roller grinder, type WMC 4 – four grinding sections
