The continuous fluidized bed technology is highly potential for enhancing the product characteristics of bulk goods, targeted or optimized custom-specific. The processes in continuous fluidized bed plants run fully automatic. They are reproducible at any time and stand for high product quality. In contrast to batch plants, the product passes through several zones in one apparatus, in which different processes like agglomeration, granulation and drying take place simultaneously.

In particular, continuous running fluidized bed plants are suitable, when you asked for high efficiency by means of reducing operational and production costs. Depending on the size of the plant, e.g. 200, 2.000 or more kilogram per hour run through the entire process with one or more features like drying, agglomeration, spray granulation, coating or microencapsulation.

OPTIMAL HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER
At our continuous fluidized bed system, the primary product often is steadily dosed frontal into the apparatus by a downstream loss-in-weight feeder with double flap valve. From below, air is conducted through a distributor plate. This fluidizing air stows the product in condition of an expanded fluidized bed. Thereby, the forced convection in the fluidized bed cause an optimal heat and mass exchange, which enables utmost efficient drying procedures. In apparatus with sectioning, the amount of air and the temperature for every section can be regulated individual. At the end of the apparatus, the product is discharged continuously and conducted to subsequent process steps. The process air leaves through an exhaust air hood. Depending on plant design, product filters can be integrated in the hood, so as to the fine dust content remains inside the fluidized bed plant. If a product classification or coarse-grained product is required, the cleaning of the exhaust air is carried out by a cyclone and where, appropriate, with a downstream filter.
